My step-uncle was one of the first people to ask me to make a portrait. I had no idea what I was doing, but was able to execute something that at least had a resemblance to the people they were supposed to be. It was an endeavor that took me way too long to accomplish, because I was always procrastinating on getting things prepared to actually sit down and paint.
