The former manager of Blackbird Espresso Bar and Bistro asked me to paint a portrait of her aging dog, surrounded by his human family members. This piece was very fun to make, although I let it sit only partially finished, for over four months, before being able to return to it and complete it. It was also slightly difficult to ensure the faces looked like the people they represented, due to them covering only a small area on the canvas.
